Jamie brings a common sense and business minded approach to potentially complicated litigation or problems. He has a breadth and depth of litigation experience and brings confidence and direction to cases, be they particularly complex or relatively straightforward.
Commercial
Regularly appearing in the commercial courts, Jamie has acted in a wide range of disputes including a variety of common law claims, shareholder and partnership claims and insolvency related litigation.
Employment
Jamie has appeared in many complex or multi-day hearings representing both Claimants and Respondent organisations, from the largest companies or institutions to the smallest, and has gained a wealth of experience.
Tax
As an independent barrister Jamie can give advice or provide assistance to solicitors, either as Counsel in the traditional sense or in a consultative manner to firms who do not have a taxation resource internally. Legal advice can also be given directly to accountants and tax advisors. Where appropriate he can assist in negotiations with HMRC officers.
