Brief Career Details

Caroline Egan enjoyed two years' work experience (including 6 months each with Slaughter & May and The Law Society) before call to the Bar. In 1996 she spent three months working at Allen, Allen & Hemsley, Brisbane as a Pegasus Scholar.

 

Family

Caroline specialises in all forms of complex matrimonial, cohabitee and family financial provision, with particular emphasis on the following:

  • Substantial assets
  • Family companies and other business interests
  • “Farming” cases
  • Pensions
  • Financial provision for children under the Children Act 1989
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Property disputes involving unmarried couples
