Brief Career Details
Basharat Hussain joined Chambers in February 2006 having previously practised in London. Having a purely civil background, his areas of practice included family, employment and personal injury work.
Family
Basharat now practises almost exclusively in family law, which includes contested divorces, ancillary relief, public and private Children Act proceedings, enforcement applications and removal from jurisdiction cases including child abduction. He also has experience of TOLATA applications.
He has a working knowledge of Urdu and Punjabi and has a personal interest in Islamic Sharia Law.
