Jonathan Challinor’s practice encompasses a broad range of cases concerning regulatory offences, acting for both the prosecution and defence. He has experience in several specific areas, including benefit fraud, trading standards (including trademark, food safety and weights and measures offences), and health and safety in the workplace (including manslaughter).
Jonathan also has experience in various areas of environmental law, including waste regulation and pollution.
He was junior counsel for the respondent in Express Dairies v Environment Agency [2003] Env.LR 29 (DC) and Express Dairies v Environment Agency [2005] 1 WLR 233 (DC).
