Regulatory Law

Andrew has been in independent practice as a barrister in Birmingham since 1984. He has specialised in court-room advocacy for over 20 years, during which he has prosecuted and defended many serious and demanding cases across the Midlands. He has always enjoyed providing sympathetic and practical advice and support to those facing allegations that may damage reputations, cause financial loss or even loss of liberty. His skill and experience acquired in the criminal courts is also available to those who bring or face disciplinary proceedings connected with occupational or professional codes of conduct.

In 2011 Andrew gained a Master’s degree in Environmental Law. He has special interests in the law regulating food safety – in production, processing and eventual sale to the consumer and also in the law of pollution control, whether in respect of air, land or water.

In suitable cases he is now available for direct instruction by individuals and enterprises, for advice, assistance and court or tribunal representation.
